Villa Bordoni Hotel & Restaurant Café Baldobar - a Firenze dal 2010 Trattoria Baldovino - Firenze © 2011 Web Development by Ricardo Lourenco - Bespoke216 Born from the experience of David Gardner as a successful restaurateur in  Florence, where he has operated since 1995 with his trattoria and pizzeria  Baldovino, the rich gastronomy of our beautiful Tuscany region has been an important focus of our Chianti Cooking School since its very first days. The school began operating in 2006 as a branch of the new Villa Bordoni  Hotel & Restaurant. It was initially available only for our hotel guests, but  in 2008 it assumed a new identity and became available to the public as a  part of the Villa Bordoni Restaurant. Today we are able to offer cooking classes in different forms and with  content spanning from traditional and rustic to contemporary and  sophisticated, fruit of our long experience in Tuscan and Italian cuisine  through our several restaurants in Chianti and in Florence. Our in-house cooking class in Greve in Chianti takes our guests through a  unique hands-on experience in our custom-made Molténi kitchen, led by  one of our chefs, where they prepare a complete, “fine dining” meal,  covering the four courses typical of an Italian tasting menu - antipasto,  primo, secondo and dessert.   In the Rustic Cooking lesson, our guests join David Gardner in a Chianti  farmhouse where they go through a brief history of Tuscan and Italian  cuisine, and experience traditional Tuscan cuisine first-hand in a few hours  dedicated entirely to la Cucina Povera.   Both these experiences culminate in dinner based entirely on what was  prepared during the lesson, in our Villa Bordoni Restaurant. All of these experiences can be personalized on request, and we are used to catering for very specific needs - be they dietary restrictions or preferences, requests for lessons appropriate for children, or closed groups and different levels of expertise... The Chianti Cooking School  2012 - upcoming dates  Our cooking school programme  continues through the season - the  following are the dates available in  May 2012: 19th, 22nd, 24th, 26th,  29th and the 31st And the dates  available in June 2012: 2nd, 5th,  9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th  Rates are 150 Euros per person, inclusive of dinner and - of  course - wines! Non participants may join for dinner & wine at  65E per person.   Autumn & Winter - a food lover's paradise at Villa Bordoni! This fall and winter we offer a special cooking package, which includes a 2 nights' stay in a room category of your choice, and a cooking lesson for two - followed by dinner, and inclusive of wines!
